United Nations Global Compact

2023

United Nations Global Compact
Since 2023, SILAB has been committed to the United Nations Global Compact's social responsibility initiative and its ten principles on human rights, labor standards, the environment, and anti-corruption.

Through this voluntary and transparent commitment, SILAB once again demonstrates its approach to sustainable development, thereby helping fostering responsible ecosystems.

UEBT membership

2021

UEBT membership
SILAB affirms its commitment to biodiversity through its membership in the UEBT (Union for Ethical Biotrade), a nonprofit organization that sets good practices on how companies and their suppliers source ingredients from biodiversity.

As a UEBT member since 2021, SILAB is committed to a world in which all people and biodiversity thrive with respect. The company is also demonstrating its commitment to a sustainable and continuous improvement approach, as the program involves setting up an action plan and monitoring and communicating its progress.

Science based targets

2020

Science based targets
In 2020, SILAB has signed the commitment letter of the Science Based Targets initiative. This approach aims to align its targets with the "2°C" trajectory, recognized as essential by the international community in the Paris Agreement.

This commitment illustrates SILAB's intention to steer its action program towards a low-carbon economy, in line with its business activity. The objectives by 2030 are to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from scopes 1 and 2 by 30% compared to 2018, and to measure and reduce its scope 3 emissions.

Within Actively Caring 2030 program, new objectives have been set in compliance with the 1.5°C trajectory and are being submitted to the Science Based Targets (SBTi) initiative.

Diversity Charter
SILAB signed the diversity Charter for the first time in 2013. Since having voluntarily signed its renewal in 2025, SILAB has committed to fighting against discrimination and encouraging diversity.

In particular, it aims to provide employees with awareness campaigns and training on the challenges of non-discrimination, to foster this principle in all its forms and all human resources stages, or to promote the representation of French society’s diversity among its workforce.
