Opting for French supply chains
Published on 3/27/2025
As a company committed to its territory, SILAB is involved in the general effort to change agriculture by giving preference to French and local producers for the development of new active ingredients.
SILAB also assists producers in diversifying their crops, offering agronomic support in the development of cultivation itineraries for new crops.
Working with local suppliers makes it easier to build close relationships, ensure traceability and reduce the carbon impact of transport.
This approach enhances French know-how, creates new opportunities for existing sectors and contributes to the local economy.
The example of the meadowsweet

As part of the development of DEOLYA®, a natural deodorant and soothing active ingredient, SILAB Research has chosen to exploit the ellagitannins (tellimagrandins) and proanthocyanidols found in meadowsweet.
This raw material is sourced from two French organic suppliers. The producers selected are SILAB's long-standing partners, committed to practices that respect the socio-environmental impact of production.
The example of watercress

SILAB has opted for French sourcing, traced to the plot, safe and respectful of the environment for watercress, at the origin of the development of MYOLINE®, a relaxing active ingredient. Producers specialising in this raw material, who work with respect for heritage and transmission, have been selected.
SILAB is taking a responsible approach by promoting watercress that is no longer used as food. This partnership is sealed by a supply commitment, providing security and visibility for both parties.
